Missouri Norton 2017 Wine

A spectacular total solar eclipse occurred on August 21, 2017, the year this wine was made. The grapes for this wine were on the vine when the New Moon came between the Sun and Earth and cast the darkest part of its shadow, the umbra, on Earth. This picture shows the view of the sun as it went completely behind the moon. It was almost as dark as night at 1L15pm in the afternoon. Who knows how these grapes were affected by 2 1/2 minutes of daytime darkness. A day, and a wine, not to be forgotten. Photo by Stephen O'Brien

This ink black Norton has aromas of dark red fruit and Missouri earth.
